Perimenopause. The transitional phase leading up to menopause when you just don’t feel yourself and at times think you’re going crazy.  You might suddenly feel like you are overheating despite the air conditioner being set at 18 degrees or your skin might itch when there is nothing there. You might find yourself in the laundry with cutlery instead of dirty clothes or forget your best friend’s name when introducing her to a group of people. You might experience restless legs that keep you awake all night or feel so tired you can’t keep your eyes open to make dinner. You might experience anxiety for the first time when completing simple tasks or wake up in a bad mood with no good reason. You might experience irregular periods, low libido or feel frustrated about the COVID kilos that just won’t budge. As a perimenopausal woman myself, I truly understand what it’s like to navigate this tumultuous yet natural transition in life.

In my therapy room, I draw on lived experience and professional knowledge to provide a safe and inviting space where you can feel comfortable to just be you. The woman you were, the woman you are now and the woman you want to become. I encourage a collaborative relationship where I see you as the expert of your own life and my role to assist you to live your best menopausal years.  I devise treatment plans with a holistic lens using a range of evidence-based modalities, allowing you to make informed decisions about your health and wellbeing. 

I am a registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc. (AAPI) and the Australian Psychological Society (APS).  

I am located in Brisbane, Queensland.
