Webinars, Courses, Programs & Supervision

For Practitioner

If you work with clients who are riding the perimenopause wave, then these webinars are for you.

In fact, if you work with any individual in their middle adult years who has (or ever had) ovaries then this is also for you!

The perimenopausal years can begin anywhere from the late 30’s and span up to 15 years. Then there are those individuals thrust into early perimenopause or menopause, because of hysterectomy (even if they’ve kept their ovaries), surgical menopause (‘ovaries’ and/or other reproductive organs removed), premature ovarian insufficiency or medical menopause (placed on medication to put them into menopause - usually due a history of breast cancer).

Each person’s peri/post-menopausal ‘ride’ is unique and the list of possible features is endless. Some ‘rides’ might feature the well-known symptoms of sleep disturbance, hot flushes, night sweats, weight gain, or brain fog. Others may experience the highs and lows of emotion dysregulation and mood disturbance. Many peri-menopausal experiences are marked by the onset and/or recurrence of prior mental health issues. Rates of depression for women (and suicide) are also highest in this age group (45-55). On top of that, it’s common for menopausal individuals to experience overwhelm, confusion and distress, but ‘fail’ to meet any mental health diagnostic criteria.

In short, the “menopausal ride” is often full of unknowns in terms of duration, intensity and impact on the individual. We don’t know who will experience some or none of these features or who will experience all of them.

But we do know how to support folk through this significant life stage. And we want to share that knowledge and experience with you.

Schema Therapy for Menopause

Pre-Recorded

$249

The menopausal transition typically begins for women around their late 30’s and early 40’s. It’s a neuroendocrine event that marks the second half of a woman’s life.

The psychology and neuroscience of menopause in addition to the common realities of life for midlife women can often culminate in a ‘crisis’ of sorts. This impact is widespread; health, mental health and relationships with Self and others often suffer.

At the same time, the struggle often creates a ‘crisis’. It shines a light on all the ‘stuff’ that’s been out of our conscious awareness or actively avoided. However, it also creates impetus to make deep and meaningful changes within.

Join Dr Emma Decicco and Kirstin Bouse, Clinical Psychologists as they share their insights and learnings regarding the application of Schema Therapy for women navigating their menopausal years.
