All About Her Practitioner

Hi! I’m Karen Fossey

Clinical Psychologists

Telehealth & In Person

Hi, I’m Karen Fossey, a Clinical Psychologist with over 12 years of experience working in both community and private practice settings. My therapeutic style is warm, grounded and collaborative. I strive to create a space where you feel genuinely heard and supported and where therapy is tailored to your unique needs. I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and mindfulness-based strategies.

Over the years I’ve worked with people from all walks of life, but my current focus is supporting adult women — particularly those navigating the often-challenging transitions of perimenopause and menopause. I also work with partners and loved ones who may need support as they adapt alongside someone they care about.

This area of work is especially close to my heart. As someone moving through this stage of life myself, I understand how unsettling it can be when your body and mind no longer feel familiar. It took time for me to recognise that symptoms like brain fog, fatigue and anxiety were part of perimenopause — and that insight helps me connect more deeply with the people I support.

I’m passionate about helping women feel seen, understood and empowered during this often overlooked phase of life. If you’re feeling anxious, flat, burnt out or simply not like yourself, you’re not alone. Therapy can offer the space to slow down, make sense of what’s happening and find a clearer way forward. I’m here to walk alongside you with clarity, compassion, and care.
